Tom Benyon OBE and his wife Jane, both long-distance fundraising walkers for ZANE, are not a pair of ‘big’ people.  The couple are physically quite small.

But they have covered between them over a thousand miles on behalf of Zimbabwe A National Emergency (ZANE).

Tom Benyon OBE (aged 70) and his wife Jane are walking for ZANE … again.

They’ve done Edinburgh to London (450 miles) and Land’s End to Westminster (335 miles).  Now it’s York to Canterbury – 351 miles.

In a statement released this evening Ségolène Royal, France’s minister for “l’Écologie, du Développement durable et de l’Énergie” clarifies that she will not authorise the import into France of elephants from Zimbabwe.
